Designed for breathtaking picture quality, the BenQ LU951ST Blue Core short-throw laser projector boasts long-lasting color and brightness that allows houses of worship to make the most of their lighting budget. Generating intense laser-powered brightness, BenQ’s dual synchronized color wheel and long-lasting DLP chip drive the high performance, innovation, and value behind the

LU951ST.

Traditional lamp-based projectors have never been bright enough for churches, and what’s more, they require constant lamp replacements that begin degrading right away that can add budget strain to the church. BenQ perfected its Blue Core laser projector offering to solve these challenges, bringing superior brightness and affordability to worship facilities. Unlike traditional lamp-based projectors, this projector delivers a long-lasting vibrant image with 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation without ever needing to change a lamp and that won’t decay even after years of daily use. Based on the average brightness cut-off of typical long-life lamps, BenQ’s Blue Core value exceeds that of 10 lamp replacements over the life of the projector, a huge time and cost savings. With high 100,000:1 contrast, 1.07 billion color display and with 5,000-ANSI-lumen brightness, every image and word are perfectly and crisply projected so even congregants in the back of the room can see them — as well as prevent the image from being washed out in facilities flooded with light.

BenQ’s LU951ST is the first 5,000-ANSI-lumen projector on the market to feature an HDMI output, so churches can have the flexibility to stage, stack, and stream with ease. Stage it: The simple HDMI connection is perfect for putting two projectors side-by-side. Stack it: Turn two 5,000-ANSI-lumen projectors into a brilliant 10K ANSI-lumen display without spending additional cost and labor on wiring and cabling. Stream: Users can stream one source to multiple projectors, supporting the latest video capabilities in a worship facility.

The projector also boasts seamless HDBaseT connectivity, allowing churches to combine videos, audio, and device control signals from multiple sources including PCs, laptops, document cameras, and Blu-rays onto a single Cat5 cable, ensuring seamless transmissions up to 100 meters. There is also remote-control projector ID for churches running a multi-projector setup. The specific ID assigned to each projector helps avoid signal interference for other nearby projectors. It is also compatible with leading projector control systems including ExtronCrestronAMX and PJ-Link for network control via LAN.

The LU951ST is also designed to eliminate the costs of unexpected shutdowns and repairs caused by dust. Its sealed laser modules and enclosed light engines protect the DMD chip, color wheel sensor, laser bank, and other optical components. The design has passed the dust chamber test standard JIS Class IP5X for superb dust protection, prolonging optimal performance by repelling dust that can accumulate on a traditional color wheel sensor and that blocks the IR signal —causing flickering, abnormal colors, or even shutdown. With this protection, there are no color wheel sensor failures, visible spots on the image, or color decay that can contribute to significant service costs and downtime.

Addressing the unique architectural challenges that churches can present, the LU951ST includes features that streamline installation. This includes a 0.8 short-throw ratio where space is limited or in spaces where projector installation is limited by power and cable junction requirements; 360-degree rotation to allow it to be tilted at any angle and still project perfectly; and wide zoom range and horizontal/vertical lens shift Further, the digital image shrinking and shift allows installers to shrink the image to 75 percent of the original size with 0.5 percent increments via OSD menu as well as shift the image so they do not have to reinstall or adjust the projector physically if the image is not precisely aligned on the desired frame and space.
